My routine...
On the weekend, I spend a good few hours looking at the charts (I use purely technical analysis) to figure out what trades I want to place when the market opens. 6 pm Sunday when the market opens, I place these trades.
During the week I will check how my pairs are doing in the morning for approximately half an hour around 7 am (see how much I've made or lost, quickly check if the trend will continue, etc. When I come home from work, I'm checking periodically from 5 pm until around 10 pm.
I do very few trades though, typically between 6 to 10 per week.
