Default Bank of England Responds Once Again

The BoE is to offer GBP 5.0B in 3-day repo in an exceptional fine-tuning operation at 8.45GMT today, with funds offered at the 5.00% repo rate. The BoE said the operation was a response to ease conditions in short term money markets. The BoE also said that reserves targets ranges would remained unchanged for now, but this was under review. The ECB announced earlier that it is conducting overnight money market fine-tuning operations, without specifying the amount offered
