Send us your "Sticky-Worthy" threads and posts

Hello to all,

We’re looking to you, the community, to offer up your favorite/most educational threads or posts found in our Forums. Peek at your Subscribed Threads list or let us know what threads you actively follow or participate in, that you think would be beneficial to any trader, new or old.

The threads/posts don’t have to be recent. They can be from last week or last month, or 2006. As long as they’re from our Forums, they’re good to go.

We’ll collect all of the suggestions and then pick a handful to “Sticky” for all to see.

Thanks for your help and we hope you send us some good ones!

What are Sticky Threads?

Sticky threads are created by moderators, and remain ‘stuck’ to the top of the forum thread listing. Their purpose is to keep important information visible and accessible at all times.

a question every trader should ask themselves

http://forums.babypips.com/newbie-island/53684-guide-using-recognising-myfxbook-accounts.html

Since many new traders are starting to use Myfxbook this thread is a great help on the the frequently asked questions, with detailed descriptions. Should be called “Myfxbook for dummies” - it helped me out!

If you don’t sticky this then get the guy to write up a chapter in the education school section!

I will suggest Pepperoni and Pineapple please…

http://forums.babypips.com/show-me-money-swing-trading/53147-pepperoni-pineapple-please.html

and here’s why…

This is one of the few thread in this community who discusses the fundamental analysis/ news events on a daily basis and actually DO traded it in real time. As a trader, we will need to see some balance…. I have found that there are so many Technical trading strategy …so many technicians that are floating around everywhere I looked almost as if we are only trading it this way…

I also like the approached of 10 pips per trade. For newbies who is just starting out, I think it is a good idea to test a low pip approached instead of trying to hit a home run all the time and you do not need to be that way. Focusing on consistent WIN approached is the most important part of trading to become profitable.

Lastly, the results are all transparent win/lose and showing the current account balance $$ via screen shot … Who else does that?

PS: I am sure Mr. ForexGump and Mr. PipDiddy would agree… Otherwise, I’ll talk to them…

I suggest Forex Price Action thread: 301 Moved Permanently

Why?

This is one of the few threads that is clean, consistent, and run by a professional trader (Johnathon Fox) who is unusually generous with his time and knowledge. The thread not only teaches one to read raw price from clean charts, it also makes the trader aware of the psychological factors that make or break a trader.

My all-time fav!

Cheers

I have visited this thread a few months ago and I have found it very informative. However, would you consider this thread as a form of advertising? The reason I asked is because of his business called Forex School Online. If his followers wanted to learn more and wanted to go to the advance course, they can go to his website and sign up for that course. Here is the link of the site…Forex Price Action Trading Course with Johnathon Fox | Forex School

It is nice to have a professional trader around who is willing to share his/her knowledge, ideas, helping and teaching newbies (as a starting point) how to trade however everything doesn’t come with freebies. Somehow you have to pay for it if you wanted to know more…

Anyway, it is up to BP to make a decision… I just wanted to put it out there…

Hallo,

Yes, Johnathon does run forexschoolonline.com (FSO)

That said, all the info necessary to trade the method profitably is in the thread. If you read the thread and take notes (i.e, active learning), it’s ALL there. And not just beginner material.

FSO is simply a next step up, a more centric community of naked price action traders, with additional member benefits (all listed on the website).

In short, the thread is not a front to shepherd people to FSO, and neither is FSO a scam. They are both the real deal.

Cheers

Dude…we dont wanna pay for stuff…its free here…just ease the advert and place the free beneficial threads here…other guys do run schools too but do you see them advocating to get pinned?
I mean good stuff like IyaJenkei’s post above…

Thanks for all of the recent submissions. Keep them coming! I know there are more out there.

Thanks again!

Priceless!

Kul.

Babypips’ loss

It is going to be a loss for Babypips because FSO will take all the “leads” or potential customers who are currently following him and moved them into his own school. Unless, Babypips will start charging FSO for every advertising /marketing/ and even customers he got (as a form of referral) from here then there is no problem but I don’t think that is the case…

ok

Thanks for sharing!

Hey all,

Here’s another call to all members to share their favorite and most helpful threads/posts with the rest of the community. We’ll review all submissions and then decide which of the submissions will get sticky-fied. Thanks again for your help!

Maybe make this a sticky in the newbie section? Since its the most popular. I’m not sure how many people scroll this far down :-D.

Chris Capre’s thread called “Understanding Price Action” is really good.
I think that should be a sticky.

Pure price action for dummies by Nikita.

One of the best threads that taught me a lot…
