I there I have been advised to join this site as I want to get into forex trading but do not have the first idea how to go about it. I am going on a course in London in feb so it would be good to know a few things. Also signed up to Ig index. Xx
First I really really hope your course is not with the Online Trading Acadamy
Secondly, IG are a spread betting provider, but they are fine for the time being as your just starting out.
Read the Baby Pips school, that should give you a nice heads up. And it will actually cover about 80% of what you would normally pay for in a newbie course, but its for free!
Yup the Baby Pips course is excellent! Be sure that you are learning from people who actually are professional (or at least consistently profitable) traders. There is a lot of BS out there.
Never risk real money right away. Always backtest a system using forex backtesting software. Then if you are satisfied with the results, forward test in a demo account with play money.
