Larger timeframes AND Larger EMA

Hi guys,

Is it recommended to use larger EMAs when trading on a larger timeframe? I am trying to swing trade and have been using smaller EMAs ( 5,10,15) on a 1 hour chart and placing entry and exit positions on a smaller timeframe (15 min,5 min).

How has that setup been working for you?

I have been getting stopped out lately, but I do understand that I am going to have loosing streaks. Here is my plan:

1 Hour Chart to identify trend and 15 minute chart to place entry and exit positions.
5 EMA (close)
10 EMA (close)
15 EMA (close)
Stochastics (10,3,3)
RSI (14)
MACD ( 26,12,9)

Entry:
Go long if:

The 5 EMA crosses above the 10 EMA and Stochastics lines are going up
RSI is heading up above 50.

MACD fast line crosses above MACD slow line

RSI goes above 50

Go short if:
The 5 EMA crosses below the 10 EMA and Stochastics lines are going down.

MACD fast line crosses below MACD slow line

RSI goes below 50

Exit:
Exit when the moving averages are heading in the opposite direction of your trade or if RSI crosses back to 50. Also look at your MACD and Stochastics.
