Default Trading Calendar

I can find easily Economic calendars, however, I cannot find Trading calendars.
Most trading platform 24/7 trading access, however, trading on week-ends is not done by many, so it is time off of course.
So week-ends are obvious days off trading.
However, not knowing major Market days off it is difficult to know ahead when market will be on and off time.
What would be practical would be a page where we can see the major market days off (and holidays period) so anybody around the world can have an idea of the trading markets variation.

There are really only two global forex market holidays. One is new year's day. The other is Christmas, and that could probably be argued. Beyond that, the market is open somewhere all the time. Of course trading activity will vary based on local holidays. To that end, you really only need to know the bank holidays for the market time you are trading.

Googling "forex market hours" will get you hundreds of places with that information. It's basic information that's needed by everyone before they start trading.

In fact, it's one of the first things mentioned in the free Babypips school. If you haven't gone through it yet, I urge you to do so. It has a wealth of information for everyone.

Thanks for your reply.
I do understand there most of the time an open market somewhere, but when the majors or the USA is on holiday, trading can be different (sometimes for the better )
Most english speaking countries were celebrating Thanks Giving while nobody in Continental Europe celebrate it, Japan have a so called thanks Giving holiday, but it is the next day of the USA one. Trading volume was much lower.

Christmas is not everybody event and holidays, Asia and Middle East doesn't take time off.
Continental Europe doesn't celebrate Boxing day...

It might not be useful if you trade only during your local market zone.
While I follow the trading across all continent I feel it would help me at least to know when trading volume can be affected during some countries holidays.

Thanks, i did read and made notes of the Babypips school, in fact it is the first place I did learn FX from.

Forex Market hours is nice, however I figured out a long time ago which is best and most suitable time for my trading style.

What I miss are a calendar where I could see in a similar way as the Market hours which country have day off (I guess I should make a search for the 4 main markets and then make it myself)

Thanks for your replies

ps: If you are trading during the American continent session, Friday is a BAD day to trade, maybe. However, nearly everybody else have a full friday trading by the time American continent wakes up.
I think Babypips School need to re-adjust as it is worldwide readen, since it is beginner who are likely to go through the whole "lessons" it should keep a global point. Just my thoughts

I understand what you're saying.

I use the news calendar at Forex Factory, which shows the holidays, so I can know when volume will be low.

While Forex is technically a global market, most of the volume is generated during the London and New York sessions, hence the bias toward those markets.
