Also, spikes are sudden price movements, correct?

What are fake outs?

I don’t understand how past close prices can determine trend direction…is this sentimental analysis since we are looking at what traders are doing and basing direction off of that

SMA are susceptible to spikes but they eliminate fake-outs. Aren’t they the same thing?
