I’m new here and to the whole forex scene so I would like to apologize in advance if the technical terms I use in the post are incorrect. That being said, I will try to explain my situation.
I have been back-testing a pivot breakout strategy which buys/sells when S3/R3 is broken. I have back-tested over different time periods. After a month of testing, I’ve noticed that some currency pairs perform really well with this strategy, eg EUR/USD. . But pairs such as EUR/NZD performs very poorly. ( Consecutive losses until investment gets wiped out )
I would like to know what’s the reason behind such behaviors. What factors should one take into consideration when using this strategy.
