I require a simple indicator for bar range comparison

I’m after an indicator which will compare the range of a completed bar with the range of the previous bar, if it’s say 50% of the range of the previous bar I’d like a little arrow underneath it, I would like the range to be able to be adjusted and for it to work on the complete chart history and an alert for present bar close if possible.

If anyone knows of such an indicator or can code it for me I’d be very grateful. Regards.

Have you tried setting an ATR indicator to “1”? (I don’t know whether it works, but it “should” at least display [I]graphically[/I], on the completion of each bar, what you want to see - though that still probably won’t help with an alert :8: ).
