I someone out there can help me out please. I made a few changes on the default parabolic SAR that comes with MT4. Nothing big just sets up a global variable according to SAR trend. The thing is that I noted some weird behavior on SAR once the MT4 platform is opened for a few hours. An example of what I am saying is being attached to this post.
What happens is that apparently the standard custom SAR and therefore the SAR I added a couple sentences does not places the dots where there should be, it tends to place the dot either horizontally or not as far down (or up) as it should be. To verify this I placed the parabolic SAR indicator that comes with MT4 (black dot), the one that comes compiled and you can’t change it along with the others (yellow and green dots). And you can see very clear that something is wrong with the custom SAR. :eek:
Oh, one more thing if I close the program and start it again, SAR draws the dots right, same thing if I recompile the custom SAR, but after a few hours the error starts again
Is this a common error ?, has it happened to any of you ?, and more importantly WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT???.

I just saw the error. It happens when the chart shifts to right because a new candle forms up. Since I got SAR on 30 minute chart, and a new candle opens every 30 minutes (dooooh!) that’s why I saw that the error occurred after a couple of hours.
Anyway I just activated the “Chart Shift” thingy on the chart to see if this corrects the error. Hopefully
That did not fix it. But still happens every time the chart shifts. I been testing on other currencies and times frames. It happens every time.
Is anybody out there with a similar problem???. If not does anybody has a parabolic Sar code, different from the custom one that comes with MT4. Or does anybody has the source code of the parabolic sar that comes compiled, that one seems to work fine.
And bali, 3 of the scripts on your links are compiled scripts, which I do not need since I want to place some alerts and set some global vars, the script from MQL4 Code Base i already have, and the error happens too.
