There seems to be a lot of luck when you first start out in a new account. It's scary. No one likes to see red! just need to have patience. Good luck with V11 and let us know how it goes. I want to go to V11 but I'm going stay with V9 for now and watch progress. I wish that I had done that instead of going to V10.

I will give 11 a go on demo and as others have said previously the intention/commitment from the SFX team remains exceptional, although (in my opinion) the results so far do not even pay for the RAM they use.

    Hello Traders,
V11 is still going out, in batches as usual.
If you want to jump the line just email us.

    Hi Robert,
I think you said in a previous post that you were starting v11 on a real account this past Sunday. Is that the account thats been listed as v10 at MBTrading?

    Thanks,

    Hello Traders:
Our accounts have been updated to version 11.

Regarding EurChf the situation is up to the Swiss National Bank. For as long as the EurChf is under intervention we cannot trade it. In the first place, without some price changes you cannot make money. The pair has been basically stuck at 1.2010 for a while now. The only time it moves is by interventions, which are very dangerous because they are sudden and abnormal. We do not want to be caught in an intervention looking the wrong way. So until volatility is restored to the pair, the VIX volatility filter is not allowing trading.
This filter can be turned off from the EAs menu, but I strongly suggest that you leave it alone. Just wait until the euro crisis calms down enough so SNB does not have to babysit the pair, and we can get back to scalping what has always been one of the best pairs for any scalping strategy.
Something similar happened to UsdJpy after the Tsunami. We did not trade it for 3 months. But it has long gone back to normal and we trade it every day.
Just give EurChf some time. Interventions do not last forever. This would be too costly to the SNB.

I ran V11combo on my MB trading demo 10k account from 7/1 to 7/4 . Then sometime during the day on 7/4 i decided to switch it all to v9combo. The results of the V9 blow away the V11/10. For some reason when Smartfx switched to V10/11 the lot sizes just shrank dramatically (Yes I have loaded MB Trading subsets into each EA on all versions). I have attached the statements for both versions for anyone interested. We are only a week into it but it wil take a very long time for an account to grow with V11 default settings. Especially a small account such as my $2200 live account.

P.S The 1st 5 trades on 7.04 belong to V11. Have to be fair!

    Hello FxTrader,
Both versions made pips, it is a matter of lot sizes. The trading of July 8th would have been mostly the same on v.11.
If you wish to continue trading with the higher risk settings of V9, it is fine by us.
We have decided that in view of the increased volatility that the Euro crisis brought about this year, it would be best to take it a bit easier, and mind our drawdown. Among the many ways to control drawdown, we have reduced the size of trades since version 10. There are no changes in lot sizes on version 11.
Naturally you can increase the size of lots easily but doubling the lot sizes on the Money Manager, but it is not what we recommend.
The TP values of version 11 are aggressive enough that we find the new lot sizes adequate. But in the end it is up to you, it is your account, and you are welcome to trade with higher risk if you wish.
