Trend Indicator

Hi All,

I have been evaluating trend indicators lately, on MT4. Came across Stalin, Notarius and recently Silver Trend.

Had done backtesting, and found that Silver Trend provides excellent results, with little losses on whipsaws but large winners on trends.

The backtests (manual) were done on fx and commodities.

I am interested to know if anyone else have used these indicators, what are your verdicts and whether I can convert these indicators into expert trading advisors.

I think Silver Trend repaints its history. So don't relay on this indicator.

yes, you are right, value. The signals will appear and suddenly dissapear.
However, the signals seems to be confirmed once the bar closes.

I have since testing this new indicator called LabTrend Ver2. It is also a trend indicator but the signal to buy or sell is fixed when the bar closes and an alert is sounded.

I have tried this with backtests on GBPUSD hourly chart, seems good so far.
The way to use this indicator is to enter position at the open of the next candle.

Trend Bar - This indicator shows you the trend (based on ADX and PSAR) on every timeframe simultaneously. You can adjust the set up parameter.

Bykov Trend - Shows trend direction signals on the chart.

I have downloaded and a couple other EAs that I will test, mainly the trend and MA types.
