The answer really depends on your trading style but a basic rule of thumb is the smaller the better.

EuroMoney has published their list of the Top 10 Currency Traders --- big banks at the top of the interbank network --- as of May 2013.

Of these 10 mega-banks, the top 9 from last year's list remain the top 9 this year. But, Goldman Sachs has been replaced by Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the #10 spot. Bank of America Merrill Lynch comes onto the list with slightly less market share in 2013 than Goldman Sachs had in 2012.

In terms of overall market share, nearly 80% of the world's foreign exchange business flows through the top 10 banks. This overall market share has increased only slightly from last year.

Three banks have gained market share at the expense of the other 7 banks. The winners were Deutschebank, Citigroup, and HSBC. Deutschebank (#1 on the list) increased its foreign exchange market share by 4.2%, while Citigroup (#2) increased its share by a whopping 21.5%, threatening Deutschebank for the #1 spot. In fact, Citigroup has a larger share of the market in 2013 than Deutschebank had in 2012.

Here is the May 2013 list:

I am trading with Alpari on MT4, I normally use the RSI, Parabolic SAR and Envelop as Indicators. I would like to be able to keep visual logs of each trade I execute so that that I can store them and look back at the indicator readings and other things for the unsuccesful trades.

Does anyone know of a system that can capture a screen shot of each trade at the very moment you enter a position.

Microtrends... What it is, and how to capture them? I currently am running a very successful price action system that is able to capture microtrends. I'm just curious to know what the common opinion of what a microtrends is... Time length microtrends typically occur within, as well as microtrend length (pips), and other qualifications? In my own personal opinion, what I classify as a microtrend is 20 pip move in the market... Or would you guys consider a 10-15 pip movement a microtrend as well? From personal experience trading my current price action system, if market chop is taken into consideration and previously daily movement was not too particularly heavy, nor to soft... microtrends occur on a daily basis? These so called microtrends can take less than an hour to 14 hours from start to finish to complete. Unless one disagrees and would say a microtrend has to occur within a set timeframe to be qualified as a microtrend? Thank you and I look forward to your opinions and knowledge on the matter at hand.

I just got into the Forex and trading world. What are your thoughts on feedback systems, when trading online? BelforFx, offers you a trading tool called Guardian Angel when you open an account. This tool monitors your trading and provides a feedback on how you trade. For me this is awesome and so helpful when I am trading, cause it helps me make decisions. Do you think all traders find it helpful, when making decisions on the market?

Hello all, I'm a trend trader and have just thought of a new idea, and wondering if-

1: it is just new to me.

2: There is a fundamental flaw that I am blind to.

I'm open to your comments and suggestions.

Let's say that you set your chart to the daily time frame, and just apply 2 EMAs ( one a period of 5, and the other a period of 10).

If these two EMAs cross and the price action continues to move in that direction, I though that I could determine if the trend is strong by measuring the angle of the two EMAs. This can be done a few ways. I just simply put a protractor on my screen , lining up the middle (90 degree) line with the candle on which the EMA cross happened. (yep I'm a really technical guy!) If the angle of the EMAs is greater then 45 degrees then the trend is strong, under 45 degrees and it is weak. This could be done with any indicator or timeframe.

What do you think? Am I missing something?

Here is some of mine:
1.	Stop Loss: Once you order, you must set the stop loss meanwhile, 30-50 pips usually. If you can’t control, just simply don’t place orders.
2.	Transaction Frequency: Trading for over twice a week can be called over-trading.
3.	Trade with the Trend: Never make contrarian transactions unless you decide there will be a reversal.
4.	Execution Mode: Employ market execution as it’s possible. If there are few chances in the market, you have to take market execution; if there are many, you don’t need to. It needs much trading experience to employ pending execution.
5.	Stop Profit: If it goes healthily, keep it, until it weakens.

Looking forward to your opinions!
