Recently babypips has had a load of sockpuppets mainly from a single guy which detracts from the overall discussion. IP blocks can be circumvented by a web proxy so do not really help. What may help is a 100+ post member room where only members with 100+ posts get rights to post - newbies with less posts are allowed to view but not post. This would mean that a sockpuppet would have to work particularly hard posting 100 posts to disrupt educational threads - especially if they get banned it would make sockpuppeting and trolling less satisfying. It would therefore allow quality discussions to proceed without annoyance.

Hi Pipstradamus and other BP IT folk,

Thought its about time to throw this out there, given most of the value of "What Every New & Or Aspiring Forex Trader... Still Wants To Know" was deleted when ICT left, I think its time to remove the STICKY status.

In my opinion, it sends the wrong message and is a bit of a time waster to direct new traders to a thread that has links to no videos and the next five pages (couldn't be bothered reading more) are made up of people welcoming ICT back to the forums etc.

I have nothing against ICT or his methods and if people get value of the millionaires club or any of the other threads that's fantastic. However, given most new traders will gravitate towards the newbie forum, the majority without bothering to read through the BabyPips School, it really makes no sense to direct their attention to a thread that has lost most of its content.

Leave it up to you

Categorise Your Post Within A Thread

I was just looking through a thread in which someone was complaining about the fact that with all the rubbish in the forum, it's hard to find the nuggets of gold that are hidden within. Now before I continue, I by no means think that the site etc is rubbish, but I can relate to this post.

Some of the popular threads on here are absolutely massive & reading 50+ pages (especially if some of the posts are long) is quite time consuming. My suggestion would be a category option that you select while or after writing your post. For example, you write it, post it but before it gets applied to the thread, you get given various options to categorise it under, such as "social", "educational", "trade discussion", "generic answer" etc. and then a filter could be applied to it.

I'm just thinking of the numerous threads that I've read through that are jam packed with standard banter between folk that you need to read just to make sure that you've not missed anything important within the thread. Yeah there's a social element to the forum but there's also the learning side of it & being able to find the useful information faster (ie. by applying the filter settings) would be handy. As they say, time is mon£y.

Hi,
Some ads seem to be more foreground dominant than others so when clicking a link that display a drop down list of further options, the ad covers up half of them which then means I have to refresh the screen to find one that's less foreground dominant so I can get the option that's blocked...good for that advertiser, bad for the dominant one...lol. Make of it what you will, just pointing it out. ;)

Broker Aid Station (once AGAIN)!!! LOL!!!

Hello.

Call me "childish" if you will but take a look at this thread (post):

http://forums.babypips.com/masterfor...tml#post481576

Now I seem to very distinctly remember announcing an SMS Promotion last year and I also seem to very distinctly remember my entire (beautiful) post being deleted "forthwith". So my question: this (the post to which I'm referring to above) is different to what I posted last year HOW again???

Now don't get me wrong here i.e. I couldn't be happier for "MasterForex" and whatever it is that they're promoting so don't consider this post of mine being a "report". HOWEVER: is this not "double standards"??? Just curious.

As I say: don't delete THEIR "stuff" because of THIS post of mine (because of course that's a "double-edged sword" i.e. WHEN I post details of a Deltastock SA promotion then I'm going to get "jumped on" BY THEM)!!! LOL!!! As I say: just curious.

Regards,

Dale.
