Canadian Banks

Newbie here. Wondering if anyone knows if any of the Canadian Chartered Banks offer spot Fx.

i think your best bet is Questrade. i was with them for 2 years for stocks and 1 year for Forex. i'm now with Dukascopy though. they (Q) are great for stocks, but i got the sense that their FX department was an afterthought.

i've only seen banks offer stocks trading, and then it was basically the same platform / access as you got via Questrade, but with same-or-higher transaction costs.

Questrade's FX department is done by Gain Capital (Forex.com)

If you like Forex.com's stuff, then Quest is a good choice... but personally I'm not a huge fan of Gain Capital's platform.

I also believe Gain Capital just went into Canada direct under their own brand.
