I always find these types of threads interesting as most folks give a little bit more info that simply their age and you get to see into the reasons people are going down the trading road

Myself, 38. Discovered Forex totally by accident through a spam scam email about buying a system to make $X profits easy. Knew it was a scam but did my research anyway which lead me to BabyPips.com. It's been Forex every chance I get (still have that day job thing) since then.

The upside is simply to great to pass up taking a chance on it. Still learning, still demo'ing but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel, now reaching...that's another story.

29 also married have 2 boys. Know some people that do very well in forex so I thought I'd give it a try. Hoping to make a career out of it. Father kinda disowned me since I switched majors to finance from dentistry(he's a dentist), he was helping me get through college initially. Tried to do college with my own $ couldn't afford both that and feeding my family, my wife secretly racking up creditcard debt didn't help. Fastforward 2 years. I am currently out of dept with 7K+ and a few fully paid for toys. I think I could now go back to school if need be, but I'm hoping that forex will turn into my full time day job. Also seriously considering a corrections officer at the local prison.

I'm 25 and my old man went on and on about forex ever since i was in high school because he dealt with imports/exports. I always thought you needed large amounts of capital to be a trader, fast track 10 years with the power of internet and some self education, I'm taking a genuine interest in forex and hope to go live very soon.

Great forum BTW.

Cheers.

Good job Sterlo.

I'm 28 about to be 29. I built a successful business from home in the past 5 years. I become disturbed at others in business with me who were making great money but had no idea how to invest it. I really want to help and teach others how to invest their money. I have some real estate experience but I prefer forex mainly because it's easier to teach to others. Everyone deals with the same global market instead of trying to learn and teach specifics on various local markets.

I don't want to be like so many others I know who are paying off debt and cash rich but inflation is eating them up. I am having fun with forex and success with it as well.

All the best,
Jackie
