Hmmm...

I went ahead and tried. I didn't get a live update so I had to download the platform again to get the server 4 to show up. Then I got the exact same problems you are having. I hope this is fixed by the open.

If I'm not getting a connection by 6:30 (half hour after market opening) I'll log into their live chat or send them an email... I'll keep you updated on my results either way.

I hope this is just a one-time thing, because if they close down for the entire weekend from now on my system/strategy is screwed D:

I talked with someone in chat and it looks like you have to paste the following into the "Server" field when you try to log in:

mt4-04.ibfx.com:443

At least that worked for me. It will be kind of annoying if I have to do that every time, because it doesn't save that link... hopefully they fix that.

I also only get 1 day's worth of data and I can't see anything historical past that. Right now I can't really do **** with my Daily and 4 hour charts, it just appears as a line! It's showing an error that "history cannot synchronize" in the Journal tab

(15 minute wait, I imagine they got swamped with complaints.)

info: You are now chatting with 'Client Services 70'
Client Services 70: Thank you for contacting IBFX. My name is Martin. How may I help you?
you: Hi, I can't log into my trading account on the new server I was assigned, I get a message either “invalid account” or “no connection”. I have followed all the steps in the email/link I received to set up the new server, and also have tried re-installing the MT4 platform.
Client Services 70: There was a server split over the week-end. let me get you the new server address:
Client Services 70: mt4-04.ibfx.com:443
you: Do I paste that into the Server spot when trying to Log in?
you: Thanks, it looks like that worked, I am able to log in now

Thanks,
That got me logged in but no more than a days data.

It looks like they have IT issues.

I don't want to have to paste that in everytime either.

You can now log in the "easy" way using the drop-down menu again... at least it's working for me.

Historical data is still not showing up though. I think I'll go back to chat about it just to let them now... looks like no trading tonight

After waiting 30 minutes I got a response about the historical data feed...

info: You are now chatting with 'Client Services 80'
Client Services 80: Hello, my name is Angie, how may I help you?
you: Hi, I'm not getting any historical data on my charts in MT4 from before Friday July 25. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it an IT issue due to the server split this weekend?
Client Services 80: Try to refresh the chart.
Client Services 80: Right click on the chart and press refresh.
you: That went back a bit farther but it's still stuck at 0:00 on July 25
Client Services 80: We are working on this issue.
you: Ok thank you Angie.

Well, maybe they will have it fixed by the London open. Thanks for sharing the info.

Final note, I have my historical data all back to the 1970s again. You might need to Refresh your charts (right click - Refresh) to update them. It's kin dof slow having to refresh every chart, but it works.

Overall they handled it pretty good I guess, 2 1/2 hours after open and everything is fixed.

I placed my trades and logged out, now I can't get back in again... oh noes! It was all fixed and then they ruined it again.

Oh, I can get in but I have to copy and paste that server link... hmm. I'm done for tonight.
