Swing high, Swing Low

Hi everyone,

I am Jason from Singapore.
I have a question regarding the swing low and swing high.
I have read the Fibonacci chapter 3.
I have also google it a few times and I got a few different ones.
but i still don’t understand one part.

I have drawn this picture.
can i consider the swing high/low in the first picture if they share the same candle?.

which one is the correct swing high/low? or is it both?

Please Enlighten me.
many Thanks~!!!

Hi Jason,

All the swing highs/lows in your picture are correct. The highs/lows of the candles in between the swings don’t matter at all.

Thank you very much phil838.

I have one more question, can you help me on this one?
it is also about swing high and lows

should I place the 0.000 of the Fibonacci ratio on the shadows of the lowest candle or on the lowest shadow of the diagram?

Thanks

The lowest candle will have the lowest shadow…

I think you are considering shadows/wicks to be seperate from candles. They are not! The lowest shadow on the chart, by definition, is the lowest candle.

Thank you so much!

Conclusion:

did I draw it right this time?

Yep! You got it.

There are two ways to pull fibonacci lines some people like to pull from extremes like you did in the last image, some people like to pull from the actual candle bodies. This video explains why you might not always want to pull to the extremes.

The explanation makes sense to me.
Interesting. But there are no right or wrong drawing of swing HL right?

Phil: Thanks Again!
