The ipad and fx trading
I was just curious, I am thinking of getting an Ipad for my trading due to my job...I may not have the luxury of opening a laptop to access my trades freely while at work.
I wanted to know if anyone trades on an Ipad and how is the effect like?
Thank you

I am not using iPad for forex trading even there are a few traders who use it for forex trading. As most of the traders use iPhone.

I wouldn't make statements like this without the factual evidence. "Most traders use iPhone" - show me the proof? Most traders in corporations have multiple screens setup across cloud servers. Some traders may use their phone (android or iphone) to check trades, but to be serious about trading you need to have the right tools. Ipad doesn't do it ... it doesn't support flash and other java scripting, so you may not be able to browse all websites. Some brokers do have their own app (Dukascopy) tailored for tablets. Start off on a laptop and get to a consistent profitable stage in your trading career (which is not guaranteed) then look at expanding your hardware. Good luck

hank you Mrchilled...I am seriously looking at either an android phone or an Ipad...to check trades actually..I will definitely use my laptop to take trades...but as for monitoring, I would need some gadget....if along the way I could also execute on that gadget,....well, I dont mind.... Anyways I thank you for the input Mrchilled

You should be fine with the iPad. My favorite broker Oanda has an app and it works well. It's still tough to get good indicators on mobile devices, but if you know your levels before you leave the house, it's not a problem.
Another thing you can do is use Remote Desktop or similar setup to log into your computer at home and check your charts from the iPad that way. Not the way I would do it, but I have done it before and it does work.

Thank you Hugh...., you made a good point about mobile devices not having good indicators....although I need a device to just monitor trades already taken but it wont be a bad idea making slight changes here and there while monitoring trades all at the same time....
I would give Ipad a try then
