Metatrader alerts on your mobile! How to do it!

Hi guys,

Perhaps not new to you, but it was for me…

You can set an alert in your Metatrader on the desktop and receive a free notification on your mobile.

The steps to do:

  • Have an MT4 instance…
  • Download MT4 app on your mobile.
  • Go to MT4 on your desktop
  • type CTRL-O
  • Go to tab Notifications
  • Check tickbox “Enable push Notification”
  • Open MT4 app on your mobile
  • Goto “Settings”
  • Goto “Messages”
  • In bottom of screen you see MY ID:

- Go to the screen on your desktop again
- Type the code in "MetaQuotes ID"
- Click 'Test" to test
- Click OK
- Verify on your phone if it works.
- If it doesn't work, check if the app is allowed to push messages.

Howto creat an alert:
- Goto MT4 on your desktop
- Type CTRL-T  (Terminal view)
- Look down-left in your screen
- Look for tab "Alerts"
- Click on it
- Type insert-key or right-click
- Create a new alert
- Use settings you like
- In the dropdown menu under 'Action' select Notification
- when done click okay and watch your phone until your alert is hit....:)

If your broker doesn't have a mobile MT4 app, try one of the other brokers. It may be that it will still work as MetaQuotes sends the notification and not your broker. I haven't tried it, but let me know if that works or not. 

I hope this is helpful to you all. It took me longer to write this than to implement.

why the alers don’t work on mobile when the MT4 is closed on desktop ? how we can fis it that ?

Thanks System. I knew this should be possible, Metatrader doesn’r make this intuitive, but it still works in 2017 :slight_smile:
