If you had to pick the 2 or 3 most important principles of good trading?

I’ve been reading and watching a LOT of videos, books, blogs and articles,
and it seems that successful traders often develop a personal style that helps to
give them their edge, some seem to like risk more than others, some trade using simple price action,
others use several indicators at the same time etc. etc. Technical analysis especially seems like a bit of an art form with people coming to different conclusions based on the data in front of them.

so far, I feel that what works for me is, trading with the overall trend,
getting out of losing positions fast, and being conservative waiting for confirmation of signals.

I just thought it would be cool to see what couple of simple rules other traders
find most important and like to stick to the most!

Patience and discipline are the most important rules to trade FX apart from having a proper trading plan.
