Not familiar with Al Brooks, but do trade using M5/M15 as an entry chart supported by H4 renko charts and standard daily chart. I use supt/rest levels, waves of movement, price action high/low relativity, risk /reward, pending news, and specific M5/M15 entry patterns to determine when to open a position.
I only trade two pairs, the Euro/USD and GBP/ USD, and generally trade London Open until the midpoint of the US market.
I average about 5 trades per week.
I also use alerts sent to my smart phone when a pattern is developing to limit my screen time.
