Parabolic SAR on the 1 hr

I am curious about the Parabolic SAR on the 1 hr chart.

Does anyone know if it appears...

... right on the hour?
... sometime during the hour once a certain point is reached?
... at some point and then it goes from top to bottom until it settles at the end of the hour?

I am considering using the Parabolic SAR on the 1 hr chart as an additional confirmation tool.

The points that the sar makes is made at the close of the session. The sar is designed to tell you where to place your stops. To use it as a trend indicator takes a whole nother view.
