i think i understand how companys make a profit with the spread betting format, but i cant see how offering binary options with no spread gives them any edge?
A client makes and looses, the "company’’ wins. A client makes a bet and wins, s/he is paid 80% of the amount won, the house keeps 20%.

in my opinion BO is much more dangerous and tricky kind of trading. It’s better to practice regular forex, despite of transcation costs it is much more manageable and less risky…
Yes it is, but if you know what you are doing, you can earn good profits from it, even though the broker takes some part of that profits.
