IB for VT?

hello, can anyone create an Inside Bar (James 40-100 pip a day system) signal for VT? Or does it already exist?

Hey there.

I am pretty sure what 'James's 40-100 pips a day' program is referring to is the japanese candlestick pattern. Correct me if I am wrong...

The Inside Bar (IB) pattern is actually just a pair of two candlesticks. The first candlestick's low and high are both greater than the seconds'. Mind you, I am not talking about the wicks / shadows. The Outside Bar (OB) is simply the opposite.

For those that can't visualize the IB...

Picture a typical Candlestick. The "full body" is the section that will either be colored in or clear (the big rectangle). Then the next candlestick has a smaller full body (a little rectangle).Vertically speaking, the little rectangle is engulfed by the big one (the top and bottom of the little rectangle are between the top and bottom of the bigger rectangle.)

thanks for the reply, but I know what an inside bar is. I was wondering if someone had a piece of code that i can implement in my VT trading platform so that it signals them for me using audio. I succeded in doing that with MT4 but couldn't do so with VT.

So if anyone is familiar with VT's sintax, pleasae help

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. I am not really familiar with either syntax.

On a side note, although I have never "programmed" in either "language", I have just started messing around with MT4. Do you know of any good tutorials or introduction to MT4 programming? Anything is appreciated!

well i didn't learn from any books, i am familiar with C++ and therefore i have been able to use MT4's EA writing tool... but search on google, there should be a lot of tutorials..
