Question

Sure, i'll post it when I figure out how too.
P.s. Anybody caught the 130 pip move on the GBP/USD from 9:15 - 12:00pm.
Wonder what caused such a rally??

Hi there James here

Well everyone did ok today in the live lounge some making 50 others making 90 pips no problem a good day in all.

US new residential construction data posted surprisingly strong results in April and offered some hope to the markets that a turnaround in the housing markets may be in sight.. Housing starts climbed by a robust 8.2% to 1.032m annualized rate, largest monthly increase in more then two years. Building permits also beat expectation by rising 4.9% to 0.978m annualized rate. Though, the greenback received little support from the data and remains range bound against Euro and Sterling. Though U of Michigan consumer sentiments deteriorated further to 59.5 in May

see you all tuesday

James

Yeah great move, I caught 113 pips to be exactly. Perfect IB at 14.00 GMT (TF=15min)

Exit at Stoch cross/forming exit IB

Although entry IB was out of proportion and neg news just hit the GBP, I entered anyway (Housing Starts and Building Permits above forecast). If it was a live account I don't know if I would enter... probably not, but atleast I got a nice confidence boost

Hi Preist9,
I see on the chart you have has boxes above and below the IB candle and an 'X' at the end of that move? If they are indicators can you post them here?

That was a nice move this morning.

Well, I draw the arrow and the exit myself to clarify things for you guys but I'll be happy to share the 'IB' indicator with you...

Settings:
CheckPinBars: False
CheckI4Bars: True
Min_Nose_Ratio: 40 (doesn't matter though, this setting is for pinbars)
Max_Body_Ration:60 (doesn't matter though, this setting is for pinbars)

Rename txt file to mq4 extension
Indicator isn't 100% though, see jpg. Clearly and IB (see blue arrows) but indicator didn't catch it...

Good luck ,

Dear priest, nice skill..
One thing i'm not very clear... In your 15min chart..the candle you have highlighted as an ib has a (low) of 1 point higher than the previous candle... It is still considered as an Ib.
Pls explain.....
Thanks.

Well sharkie, the arrow is where I entered. The actual IB is the candelstick with the boxes on top and below. Only on the 3th bar (bar with arrow, IB being bar 1) did the resistance put up by the bar prior to the IB get broken.

Note: Indicator doesn't filter OB and IB's which low/high are identical to the prior bar. Indicator also doesn't warn you with a noise, email or anything else; so it's pretty useless in a live market. Usefull for backtesting though...
