Hey james.. just a noob trying to clarify his confusion here.

Ok anyway.. So i spot an Ibar on say.. 15 mins chart.. then i wait another 15 minute for the next bar to form. But how do you mean 1-2 pips above/below it? like.. for long position, either the shadow and/or the body have to be 1-2 pips above it? or just the shadow? or maybe we don't even wait for the candle to form just as long the current price is 1-2 pips away from the Ibar?

Hi there james here

Yes you are correct if prices moves up 1-2 pips then you would have taken a long

Hi there james here

Well good week with the ib system so happened today
Markets are generally quiet as the week is close to end. Dollar remains bounded in tight range against most major currencies. The Japanese yen dips mildly even though US stock market is set to have a lower open. The Canadian dollar is lifted mildly after data showed wholesale sales jumped 1.6% mom in May, beating expectation of 0.5%. Canadian leading indicator, on the other hand, was flat in Jun, below expectation of 0.1% rise. Other data released today German PPI climbed to 26 year high of 6.7% yoy in Jun. Eurozone trade balance showed wider than expected deficit of -4.6b in Jun.

Sterling continues to trade with an undertone on speculation that UK Chancellor Darling will introduce a new set of spending guidelines that would allow for breaking of limits of public-sector debt but reaction is so far limited. ECB Trichet reiterated that the bank is committed to maintaining medium term price stability and getting inflation back to "below 2 percent, close to 2 percent" and emphasize the importance of avoiding "second-round effects". Trichet also said that economic growth in the Eurozone will stall in Q2 and Q3 before returning to "moderate" growth.

Regards

James

Smile A Newbie

Hello James and everyone here,

I stumbled on this thread and i feel i'm lucky. I've read the basic rules of the system over and over again and i must say it looks too simple to be true.(judging from the trading systems i've been seeing so far)

I'll like to start trading this system as from next week Monday,(its time to start nailing those pips into my bank account-lol) so i'm seeking for support (certainly not resistance-lol) to fully understand the nitty-gritty of the system.

Hope to find the needed support here
Thanks.

Post Wanting To Learn The IB System

Hi James:

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I'm starting to trade on a demo in Oanda and get a little confused about what I should be watching in the Oanda chart. I haven't even made my 1st trade yet, as I'd rather follow along with you. I have a 9-5 and need to know what time you hold classes for your 4-week course? If you hold them during the day are there options for us
nine-to-fivers? I'll do whatever it takes to have a mentor like you. You are awesome!
Please forward me your info. Thank you.
