Default Very interesting

I am very interested in something simple like this...I have traded with so many indicators on my chart that it would sometimes resemble a spiders web!

Some of my best trades have occurred however when I looked to the left on my chart, saw an area where price advanced/retreated a decent amount, then bet that it would do the same if confirmed by a bullish/bearish candle(1hr chart).

So I am really looking forward to a simple method.

I wonder if this is going to be a system of watching for pairs which tend to move in unison ... I've seen times when the EUR/USD is bearish then the USD/JPY is bullish and so on. So you might be garnering pips from trades over multiple pairs at the same time. Just an uneducated guess.

Two questions. Is the moving average simple or exponential (have set simple) and is the View to 8 meaning eight "Periods" (which is a close zoom view and I suppose about 20 minutes of data in the window)?

Ready with the four default pairs with those settings if correct.

James,

Thank you for posting this system. It intrigues me. I attached a photo of the time period you said 3:10, 3:15. I notice (A) is less than its previous candle.

My question, Does it need to be within the high/lose of the previous candle? Or just smaller?

(B) is > 2 pips from the IB, so we should have bought correct? Since the Sto is around 20.... is this correct?

Thanks
Jeff.

Hi jeff

It looks like the wrong time are you in the usa or uk its 3.15 or 4.15 Gmt the big move

on the example you have given A is the inside bar and you would have entered at b 1-2 pips above the A

It needs to be with in and yes this was a buy signal but using candle sticks is a lot clearer

James

James,

Thanks, Yea, I'm in the USA. OK, here's the chart again at 4:10/4:15. (A) is outside the range of its previous candle... does that make it still an IB. I would think it does not since its not within the previous one. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Now, if (A) was the IB, then (B) would be a BUY since its above the previous one, but I guess I don't get why (A) was an IB... unless it can be outside the range of the previous candle.

OR, would the candle previous to (A), the one to the left, be an IB.. in which case you go long on (A) since its above by a couple of pips?

PS I hope I dont have the wrong time frame again haha

Jeff.
