Ok guys, I have a dumb question.

What does the 8,3,3 stand for in the stochastic? I need to know where to place the 8 and the two threes because my charting software has it broken down by
Period for %K
Period for %D
Perod for slow%D

I have had it as
8,3,3 following above, but I'm thinking it should be 3,3,8.

I forgot to add, do I want floating or not? Floating seems to make it higher.

Default greetings,

I'm new to forex and this is my first post. What a great thread, I'm excited to see if I can successfully implement this system.

I have two questions...

1. The rules state that you use the IB and OB the same in regards to entry. But this thread talks much more about IB setups than OBs. Are IBs more common or profitable? Just curious…

2. Are any of you trading this system on the Asian open? That’s the only time that’s practicable for me at this time, and I’m hopeful I can be profitable during the first 3-4 hours of the Asian open.

I went though and made a word doc of most of the questions that have been asked of and answered by James. It’s a rough draft but maybe other newbie’s will find it helpful too…

Thanks,

David

Hello there,

I live in the Asian time zone and have try to trade during Asian market open. But the chances for me is very slim to get good trades. But if you have the patient to wait, maybe it's ok. For me I can't wait. I only trade from 6am - 4pm GMT.

Happy trading...

Default IB signal

Hi rob1599,

Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I will note that down...looking for 3 pips down. Whenever I enter trade with this similar signal I get whipsaws as market will reverse and hit my stop loss level.

Happy trading...

Default No trade today GBP/USD

Hi James,

I have tried today using the system for GBP/USD. There were some IB formed, but stoch was either too high or too low to enter. I attached here on today's chart. Correct me if I'm wrong or if I missed the trend or IB....

Appreciate your help.
