The 3 day reversal is a pattern that can be used
#1 - To buy at lows
#2 - To sell at tops
#3 - To hop aboard trending moves

THE 3 BAR LOW IS WHEN
Day #2 makes a high that is lower than days 1 and 3 highs
Day #2 makes a low that is lower than days 1 and 3 lows
Day #2 leaves a clear low behind, for the 3 day sequence
If you decide it is time to buy a 3 bar low
#1 - Buy just above the 3 bar high
#2 - Put a stop if wrong just below the 3 bar low

THE 3 BAR HIGH IS WHEN
Day #2 makes a low that is higher than days 1 and 3 lows
Day #2 makes a high that is higher than days 1 and 3 highs
Day #2 leaves a clear high behind, for the 3 day sequence If you decide it is time to sell a 3 bar high
#1 - Sell just below the 3 bar low
#2 - Put a stop if wrong just above the 3 bar high

Hi James,
One quick question here, can this technique being apply to lower TF or only for daily TF?
Thanks for being very helpful and patience to newbie like me and personally, I really like this thread - full of knowledge

Hello hilamin,

I am new to forex. I've read a couple books, spent hours reading forums, and tried several trading systems. A month ago I joined James' live trading group. During the past month I have learned much more about forex, why the market moves, and how to trade with more success than I ever could have on my own. My experience in James' live trading group has been very positive and educational. I would recommend membership to anyone weather new or experienced with forex.

Regards,
Todd

Lightbulb Help needed

Hi there,

I was testing James` strategy and it`s all working well. Still, I have this big problem called MY JOB, which doesn` t leave me enough time to stair at the charts and look for the IB/OB.

For this reason, I ask for your help to improve the indicator attached below (which I `ve downloaded from this thread).

It mostly does it`s job (finding IBars) but I need some extra options on it (besides Airbags, ABS and Traction control ) such as:

- looking also for OB;
- Alert message and most important sound alert.

This way, i can still keep my job an be able to evaluate every market opportunity .

Also, i`ve noticed that it doesn`t work on lower TF (smaler then H4).

It also shows pin bars - which unfortunately I dont` know what they mean

I`m shore that I`m not the only one facing this "job-time" problem and i think such a tool will give us a big advantage.

Regards

Necre

Hello,

I managed to go through 98 pages...thanks James and the rest of you for inspiring me to put more emphasis on price action...it is about time (2yrs). It seems to me that we had a nice IB on the gbp/usd today.....what do you think? Please, disregard the channel....I borrowed it from the HAMA PAD System ....just a crutch for now.. ...the Stochs are 15/30/60/240

Good luck to all

Dave,

If you are referring to the HAMA Channel, it is 20ema, high and low.

ENJOY!
