Forex Price Action

EUR/USD: Maybe we’ll get close with neutral doji. If that happens, what’s the meaning of that? Market is waiting for news?

“Vi veri universum vivus vici.”

And I’ve noticed that on your charts, you have that huge pin. Strange…

“Vi veri universum vivus vici.”

Shouldn’t it be this ICT guys students taking up the challenge?
They’ve supposedly been digesting & applying all his knowledge & tuition for nearly 3 years so why aren’t more of them stepping up to the plate with barrels of confidence?

I was recommended to his threads last week whilst replying to a binary post by BigInTheCity, but judging by the scarcity of success from the masses of people flooding those threads, I don’t think I’ll bother.
To a newcomer fresh to this forum all the highly charged emotion & idolatry on there appears very weird & cultish.

I’ve just started reading this & the Captain Currency thread, both of which seem much more grounded & way less emotional.

Dear Master Johnathon,
Could you please take a look at this chart, there was pinbar form on the current resistance area. I took this trade but end up losing some pips. Did I do anything wrong? Really appreaciate if you can comment on this one.

thanks

Btw, did anyone take the USDCHF H4 pinbar just form few hours ago?

It could have been avoided as it didn’t break so you shouldn’t have had the trade triggered anyway :frowning: The signal and level looks ok to me though. I would imagine you wont get a reply from Jonathon as I know he is mega busy with some family stuff at the moment.

Paddy is right, based on J’s rules of not entering a PB unless the low is broken there is no way you should have been in the trade.

PB does look nice but if I am being super critical it didn’t really occur at an A+ level on the charts. I personally mark up my zone on the daily and then wait for price to approach this level. I will then drill down to the H4 to see if I can find some PA to get me into the trade.

However you must remember I have still got the Daily level marked on my H4 charts.

I will attach a shot of the D1 and the zone I have marked. as you can see this zone looks really relevant and a much better place to look for PA on your H4 charts.

hi, bhops. I am a forex newbie. Can you explain to me what you mean by ‘not entering a PB unless the low is broken’. To tell you the truth, I was in this usd/chf h4 trade on demo and was stopped out! THX.

It means that if we are looking to short, then orders are set a few pips below the bottom of the signal candle. Therefore if price doesn’t break that low then the trade isn’t triggered.

Hi Jonathan,
I’m trying to learn the price action strategy . Any suggestion?

well done Jonathan , just the right stuff i need

Not a pin bar mate. It did not break into the previous candle.
As also mentioned it did not break through the bottom if it.

Just out of interest, where was your entry?

I may put in 50K and will be setup for life. Where is the PAMM account details?

Volan,

You haven’t read Wolfe Waves yet by any chabce?

potential sell may emerge in london sessions… in eur/aud

Dear bhops,
As Johno mentioned before that you must stick on a certain TF and not jump from one to another. Now I am a bit confused when you told me to look at daily and jump to H4. Could you please explain a bit to me?

thanks for your help

EJ

Thanks a lot Paddy n bhops.
Lesson learned!!! MUST NOT ENTERED THE TRADE IF THE PRICE DID NOT BREAK LOW OF THE PIN BAR.

I entered the trade soon after the PB, it means the open of the next candle.

Of course. I trade the D1 and the H4. I mark my important horizontal lines on the Daily. As price approaches these zones I may then hop down to the H4 to look for a trade. I keep the line from the D1 in place because those S&R zones on the Daily tend to carry more weight as more traders are watching these levels.

If price approaches this zone and I see a nice PB on the H4 I will then enter the trade confident that price has just rejected an important zone. Now all my stops, profit targets and move to BE targets are worked out off the H4 charts as this is the time frame my trade in being played on. In essence I just used the important horizontal S&R zone to help me ‘spot’ a strong area of the charts from which to get into the trade.

Does it mean you don’t put S&R line from H4, always from Daily? Do you also look at H1?

EJ

hiiiiiiiiii
i m a newbie here and i have no idea about these…

Correct I mark my line’s on the Daily and play my trades on the D1 and H4. I know some who also play the H1, but I personally don’t.
