Well Zen just wait for the next opportunity. The break has occurred so will we get a retest as a possibility to get short. We are a long way down for the day but the comments from the UK treasury over the weekend were so bearish (even made the Australian business section of our daily) that there could yet be more in this. Remember just look for the low risk entry. Of course if still short from Jimmys idea then its all looking good

There are plenty of opportunities all over the place recently if you use the generics of what’s presented on here.

I just took a quick peek at the Swiss as it hustles a long range s&r zone from back in Jan.

Using the exact same principles advocated on this thread, you’d have filled your boots inside this upper range (executing in line with the dominant flows) & you now have some markers to prepare for any continuation action if the technicals line up.

It might struggle to make any more headway today, given it’s already covered it’s average daily ( currently 115 pips) range, but you certainly got some pretty neat lower levels to lay your markers down on.

Average True Range (ATR) always comes in handy for this information, and is typically available with most charting packages.

Jim did locate a file for MT4 some place which plotted the short (1&5 day) + mid-term (10, 20 & rolling day) averages for something Jocelyn was working on, but they binned the file a while back.

We got a geek here who pulls all that sort of stuff together for us via spreadsheets etc.

I'll see if Jos has any recollection of it's whereabouts when she saunters in later.

Fairly typical retest behaviour here that could provide a way in to the downtrend

I took a trade at the GU.

An OB formed which resisted a trendline and close below the resistance level.
