…my 2012 demo account, which I still use, does not list the UK100 on the ‘Symbols’ option…is this a feature only available on newer demo accounts?

Do you see any other non-forex symbols on this demo? If not, it’s possible that you have an FXCM US demo. You can click here to register an FXCM UK demo which will allow you to trade stock indices, oil and metals in addition to forex: bit.ly/1lo8dYO
