SSI Indicator

This is confusing and I hope someone can explain to me. I have the SSI indicator on my charts, for example NZDUSD 1hr and daily, and the SSI was showing positive for most of the week, however today these indicators flipped. How can it do that to historic data? If the SSI was positive yesterday, how can it flip negative 2 days later?

Hi Cheyrashka,

The historical SSI data do not change. My records show SSI is currently negative (more shorts than longs) for NZD/USD and the last time it flipped from positive (more longs than shorts) was on September 26th at 10am.

This is verified by my own Trading Station charts on both the SSI Snapshots and Historical SSI indicators:

I swear I saw the change. I’ll try and take a daily snapshot and send once I can reproduce.

Please do. If you believe there was an error, we want to investigate it. :22:

Also, which SSI indicator were your using from FXCMapps.com? The main “SSI – Speculative Sentiment Index” indicator or the “SSI Snapshots” indicator?
