Cape Town Rookie

Hi Everyone

Very new,but very excited to learn. All advise welcome.

Hi fellow Capetonian.

I started looking seriously at trading the market for the first time about 7 months ago. 6 Months ago I found Babypips. I worked my way through school (not read my way through, but work my way through) and are now about 35% through Undergraduate.

I started demo trading a few months ago to get a feel for the market and to learn some trading platforms. About 300 demo trades later I had the need to trade with real money. I got me a live account and have about 100 live trades under my belt.

I now have a slightly better understanding of what it takes to be a profitable trader.

Some of my tips for trading the market would be:

  1. Look at the bigger picture
  2. Plan your trade
  3. Be patient and control your emotions
  4. Be informed about fundamentals that may have an effect on market sentiment

There are many other very important things to master such as position sizing, trade management etc., which you will learn in school.

As mentioned I am also a newbie so some may not agree with my advise.

Hi and welcome!
