Actually, I believe I see how it works.

A new person comes along and presents something.

Then one of the old guard starts flaming. But because they are old guard, the admins do nothing.

The new person fights back and gets a warning.

The old guard keeps it up.

The new person fights back and gets banned.

Look at the list of people who got banned over the past year and look at the people who should have been banned and you'll see what I say is true.

Right now, there's an old guard stalking me. We'll see what happens.

Who's stalking you? If someone is bothering you, just put them on your ignore list...that's what I do. Then there'll be no fighting (back) from which to get banned...simple.

I think it could possibly be the opposite...what damage are the trollers doing to their own reputation by flaming someone? Has Jame's reputation been hurt? I don't think so...lol.

I don't know why ToddWeek was banned...wasn't really following along there. But if I had to guess, it would either be because his IP was the same as TRO's, or his posting style/dialogue was too much like TRO's, or yes, if he "fought" back, then it brings too much "drama" to the forum...something forum admins don't like.

It's not so much ignorance, as it is just not letting yourself get dragged into a mire of negativety...and is much a discipline as one needs in trading..."Cutting the losers short..." The other members will see through the trollers intent and help take care of them...it's human nature that mob mentality...just got to make it work for you, not against you....lol

Many IP addresses are dynamic. One can hide or mask their IP address.

If Todd "fought back" then those he fought with should be banned, too. It takes 2 to tango, right?

People are taunting me in this thread. The forum admins should tell them to stop. I should be allowed to voice my opinion so long as I don't break forum rules. If people flame me, they are the problem, not me.
