    Cool Trader's intelligence test

    You know those tests where you get a series of numbers and have to find out the underlying rule.

    Here's one for traders: the rate of a certain currency follows a simple rule, without any random deviation. The rates of the last 12 days:

    3, 6, 6, 8, 8, 7, 7, 9, 8, 8, 6, 9

    If you can figure the rule, you know when to buy or sell and you'll get obscenely rich. What's the rates of the next 3 days?

    It's the number of letters in the name of the number in the list of integer numbers
    one = 3, two = 3, three=4 etc......

    Your sequence starts with ten.
    ten=3, eleven=6, twelve=6, thirteen= 8 etc.

    so the next in sequence would be
    twentytwo=9, twentythree=11, twentyfour=10 etc.

    9, 11, 10, 10, 9, 11, 11, 10, 6, 9, 9, 11, 10, 10, 9, 11, 11, 10, 5, 8, 8, 10, 9, 9, 8, 10, 10, 9, 5, 8, 8, 10, 9, 9, 8, 10, 10, 9, 5, 8, 8, 10, 9, 9, 8, 10, 10, 9, 7, 10, 10, 12, 11, 11, 10, 12, 12 etc. etc.

    you just wanted us to do your homework for you didn't you?

    Here's one I read a long long time ago in a brain book that took me forever to figure out.

    What number comes next?

    15, 20, 20, 5, 5, 19, 19, 6...

    Wow, I had not assumed that this puzzle would be solved so soon!

    I had posted the same challenge on another big traders forum a week ago and no one there was able to solve it so far.
