As long as you upload files using our forums, it shouldn't be a problem unless it's spam. Also about posting images- as long as the images don't have affiliate links or anything, it should be fine.

One more question (I'm sorry if you're the wrong person to be bugging about these things... if so, who would be the right person?): is there any way that we can allow uploading of *.mq4 files? They're just text files with .mq4 extensions.

    Hi PipDaddy,

I'm going to be doing (in installments) a tutorial on writing Expert Advisors in MT4, for the new Expert Advisors subforum. I was hoping to be able to post links to the various sections of MQL4 Documentation throughout the tutorial, when I need to reference individual functions. Is there any way I can get divine protection from the link-ban for such a thread?

Also, is there any ban on posting images and attachments for newbies?

    Thanks

Yes we know...haha it wasn't intended to be. Links we may keep are links to like chart pics and graphs from image hosting sites like photobucket.

Thank you for the clarification. For others who find their links removed and visit this page, the ruling is that users with less than 50 posts are not permitted to post any links at all; they will be taken down as the moderators see them, at their discretion.

It would be handy if that rule was clarified in the forum rules post, since it's a little vague on link restrictions.

Users with less than 50 posts are not allowed to post links. We will decide which links may remain. For the most part however, all links will be edited/deleted if posted by a user with less than 50 posts. Hope this answers your question.

I see in the rules that users with more than 50 posts can post links to personal businesses. Can us newbies not post links at all?

I had two links to no-registration, no-fee, no-product forums and blogs dealing with non-dealing versus dealing desk broker, and I'm curious what the motivation was for removing them.
