Thanks for the help guys, but still no dice. I removed the files, and tried it again. I was hoping there would be an option somewhere that I needed to check, or something like that. Oh well.

Yes, MT4 can be frustrating just like all the other ones out there.

You can only see so many indicators on the dropdown list.

Try this.

Use the Navigator window and drag the custom indicator from there and drop it onto your chart.

If you don't see the Navigator window, hit the <F11> key. You should see it on the bottom left or click VIEW and then click on NAVIGATOR.

Hope that helps.

Thanks RumpledOne. My problem is getting the c.i.'s to even show up in the Navigator window. They're in the experts/indicators folder, but don't show up while in the platform.

sign off MT4

delete the MQLCACHE.DAT file.

sign on MT4

It will take longer to load as MT4 compiles all the indicators.

Ah, I didn't understand that they were not even showing up in your Navigator list.

If the fix below does not do it, I would uninstall your MT4 and reinstall, add the indicators and make sure their icons are identical to other icons in your indicators folder. If you have a ton of indicators in there, maybe eliminate some you will probably not use (you can always get them & add them back again if needed)

If that doesn't work, try a new broker for a demo MT4, the problem may be in some sort of corrupted file from this broker in this version.

I was using a demo from Interbank and one day it just would not let me edit the indicators any longer .. the only fix was uninstalling & reinstalling.
