i was recently offered a job in new york working for a forex company. the job is only commission, no salary. i was wondering how much potential money i can make at this job and if it will be enough to live in the city. i have read some numbers online and they were quite high. does anyone know what i can expect to make? i am 22 years old and just out of college

I'm sorry that I don't have the answers to your questions. However I do think that working at a brokerage firm would be a great place to learn about the markets. I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for you to grow, and to learn to be a trader. The drawback is that many brokerage firms won't allow you to trade the market if you work for them. You can trade demo as much as you like, so there is another learning opportunity for you. In whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck and congrats for being given this chance at such a young age. Happy Trading, Raven

What's the position within the company? Are you going to be a headhunter looking for new clients?

Commission only = some sort of sales. I would say that probably it might be a good way to start learning, but you probably won't be trading much, if at all.

It's just a guess on my part though. I'd get as much information about the company and the position as possible before making a decision.
