Technical analysis ideas

Hi, guys!

Am looking for new ideas for trading system. What technical analysis do you use. I read at forexpros and trade2win and got few suggestions but still can’t find things I’m comfortable with.

Anyone willing to share or make a suggestion?

Many thanks

Personally, I found my salvation (yes, strong word but I’m not exaggerating) here: james16 Chart Thread @ Forex Factory

You will notice a common theme in these threads: they focus on support/resistance along with price action aka the behaviour of price itself. This is in fact all you need to get an edge and trade well.

Have a good read and best of luck to you

Support/Resistance, candlesticks and don’t trade around news.

I guess you mean don’t trade around MAJOR news, theres always some form of news.

I agree with what everyone else said, and as a further edge I like to use multiple timeframe analysis. If a trade makes sense and looks good on multiple time frames, that’s an edge in itself. I only work with 2 to keep it pretty simple. I have the hourly and 5min open all the time, and I have an idea what the daily looks like too.

Hi guys! Haven’t written for a long time  So let me join in this thread
I am subscribed for Cesar’s blog on fxstreet. I am also reading analysis on trade2win, forexpros and others.

Tks Maty;)

What kind of time frame are you thinking of using?

Search for “Art Krantz” posts in this forum.

He has posted some outstanding advice with charts for people new to the concepts of clean charts trading & how to approach it.

Support resistance, candlesticks, trendlines, fibonacci, 4 hour and 1 day timeframes.

It takes a long time to become really good at forex trading, so don’t give up and don’t trade too big for your account!

I tend to close for the day and rarely stay for 2-to 4 days

So I look at 4h for the major direction and 1h and 30min for getting the idea what will i do and look at 5 min for choosing the right time

Tks

I just finished a really good book with lots of technical strategies:

“Day trading and Swing trading the currency markets” by Kathy Lien

Can highly reccomend it
