    Default How to use gold and oil prices to forecast movements of fx

    HI,
    I was reading 'day trading the currency market' book which I read about forecast the fx market movement by according to the price of oil and gold.Does anybody uses that to forecast the prices?If so,Where do you get the oil and gold prices?

    It's easy to get Oil and Gold prices, Gold is normally quoted on your FX platform, sometimes Oil is too! but if you are not familiar with this, may I suggest your delving into something that's a bit complex at this stage for you, and probably unlikely to be of any use to you whatsoever anyway!

    NO, that's exactly what I'm getting at, the system I trade is very easy to understand, but it does take a bit to learn properly like anything else.

    The most *IMPORTANT* thing you MUST understand whether it be your using Oil and Gold etc is that complex does not equal profit, on the contrary, the more complex your system the more difficult it is to understand how to make a profit with it.

    You will find that profits are more likely to come with your patience and tenacity more than knowledge and technicalities.
