Default New Baby Pip Here! :-)

    Hello All,

Few weeks ago I have been researching the world of forex and fell in love so I have decided to make a business out of it one day. In the beginning I was tossing it up between CFD's or forex but found forex a little more attractive. But first I need to equip myself with the right knowledge/education, tools, patience, & surround myself with like minded people before all this can slowly happen. I have been trying to learn as much as I can but at a slow rate only because I have a full time job. I currently work in IT and have been in it over the last nearly 13 years and want out!
So, over the next year, or 2 or 3, I may be hanging around in here with all you smart people for a while learning the ways of becoming a successful swing trader and continuing learning.
Please be gentle during the start of my journey as I ask a few silly newbie questions here and there. I need to start somewhere and I think this is a great place to start. Im really glad I found this website and currently in the 1st grade of pipschool.

Has anyone started live trading successfully after completing Pipsology school?

I have also been looking a course provided by a company called Your Live Trading Room and would like to know if anybody here has any experience with them?

I have attended one of the webiners and was quite impressed but as always comes the sound "chic ching"

    Thanks in Advance.
    John.

Hey John welcome to babypips This is a great place to learn. Save your money everything you need to learn is available to you for free. Start by learning all the basics and my advice is to take notes. It really helped me.

Once you learn the basics I would suggest to stay away from to many indicators, and indicator based systems. The best traders are trading off of price action on "naked charts" Allthough some will disagree with me but it is my experience.

Anyway congradulations on finding babypips it really is the best place to learn.

And by all means ask your questions.
come visit my new blog forexferacity.com show me some love :-)

quick tip: ignore the spammers trying to sell their website/system/signals, etc after only 2 posts.

And skipping the Babypips school would be a bad idea, its free and a great place to start along with the other informative threads on the site.

Agreed. Never skip Babypips School information. Foundation is very important in Forex Trading career.

Too bad if babypips forum are polluted by advertisors. Before embarking on forex course, please equip yourself with strong foundation knowledge.

Welcome to forex world John. Mainly because there are some relevancy between IT & forex,

Similarity of IT & forex (just my opinion)
    i. A career that you mainly sit in front of your computer...
ii. Not too much of people/human interaction, social problem
iii. Logical analysis are great emphasis on both industry

    Just my 2 cents :-)

Thank you all for your warm welcome and advice.

With regards to the link i have posted, I just wanted to get peoples reviews on the trading training centre mentioned here in brisbane australia, which I might be looking into later to further my education after babypips. They sound promising and professional. They are called yourlivetradingroom dot com.

    Cheers,
    John
