Fundamental analysis question

when looking at the economic news to come out on this site, there is usually 2 or even sometimes 3 of the same report with different figures for forecasted results? I am wondering what the difference is in the 2 reports and why the different numbers for the forecast?

When there are two numbers, one is the results of the last report, the other is the forecast for the pending announcement. And the third number is the actual.

The listings should be in the column above each row of numbers.

There are also month-over-month or quarter-over-quarter vs. year-over-year figures reported. Make sure you check the report period and timeframe.

thanks rhody…that answers my question. didnt realize there were different time frames
