I am using a demo account MT4 and usually trade daily charts at the moment.
I put in stop loss of 50 pips but use pipette so 500.
I was looking at the 5 min charts and noticed that although they are still 5 digits they don’t go up the same?
So if i entered on 5 min chart at 0.87365 and i add 500 for my stop loss it would be 0.87865. But in 5 min chart this stop loss seems to be half way up the page, no way near the bars which are at the bottom.
Is this right? Do the same rules apply on all timeframes? Am i still risking 50 pips? Just seems so different from daily chart as SL is alot closer to entry point!
if I understand what you’re saying, it’s all relative, when you are looking at the 5 min chart small moves seem huge because you are essentially zoomed into a small area but 50 pips is 50 pips no matter which chart
