    Default Base Quote price quiestion

I need to get a clear picture of the concept involving base/quote currency.
if I feel the base currency is going to increase what should i do buy or sell?
if i feel the quote currency is going to increase what should i do buy or sell?

If i think the quote is going to increase do i buy or sell?
If i think the quote is going to decrease buy or sell?
Have I covered all of the scenarios?
thanks for your time in advance

Your trade is always in terms of the base. If you're long the pair, you're long the base, short the quote. If you're short the pair, you're short the base, long the quote.
