Compounding is certainly the best way to build an account. I’d question shooting for 5% a day though… don’t need too many loosers in a row to be down significantly. Bare in mind it takes twice as many pips to get back to the starting balance after a few loosers i.e. down 50% of balance will take 100% to get back to BE. If I were going with your plan I’d be looking for 1-2% a day? You left out the best part of the plan… how to get the 5% consistantly! :33:

Is there a final figure in mind? I only ask as it looks labourious typing out all this? I can post an excel sheet if it helps? Enter the starting balance and desired percentage/ pip gain and it will load all the figures for… I think from memory… two odd years.
Now, thats 300 trading days.
At this point, you can carry on at $50,000 Which will give you a nice monthly income, or you can bump it to $100,000
A continuation of the $50,000 for 3 more cycles will make you a Millionaire in 390 trading days total.
Hey R Carter, Im crude, I dont use Excel, but if you would like, go right ahead… Im a paper and pen type dude, lol…
The principle I use, anyways, is to mark off my days, on paper, as I finish the day… Just mind candy to me I guess…
Everything on paper looks great. I wrote down $1 lottery ticket = $80,000,000.
5% a day will psychologically crush you. Your goal should be just this - Trade profitably.
You will be over trading and looking for trades where there might not otherwise be, as you have the goal of 5% each day to achieve.
You are literally setting yourself up for failure. So stop it. Look for good trades and make them. If you have an edge, the money will figure itself out.
Good luck with your trading,
Who needs luck? I bought my $1 lottery ticket.
sweeeeeeeet
Me and my mouth… just dug it out and its full of 2009 data. Will email TalonD… he has a copy and hopefully will post it up.
Ah… you know what they say about the lottery? Its a tax on the mathamatically challenged? LOL!!!
What is the $ amount for each day of the month standing for? What is it exactly?
Im sorry, I dont understand,
