Default Setting Stop Loss At Market Execution?

Hello, I have recently learned how to modify an order to set a take profit, and a stop loss.

My question about this is, is there a way I can make these stop losses when I'm about to execute my order? I seem to only be able to do it if I change to pending orders, but pending orders don't execute right away. Another way I know how to do it is if I modify the order after placing it.

I want to be able to execute an order and immediately have a stop loss without having to modify the order.

    Thanks for any help.

    That should usually be possible.

I'm no expert but you should also tell us which software you use so the right person can help ;-)

Really depends on the platform you are using. MT4 for example allows this by using the data entry screen when populating your order ticket. When the you do hit buy or sell the trade already has a SL and TP set.
You learn more looking for the answer to a question than you do being told the answer straight away.

I would have hoped that any decent trading platform would offer this option. Your broker should have a helpdesk you can contact to ask this, should be straightforward stuff.

Ohh I'm sorry, I completely forgot to say that I'm using Metatrader 4.

Also, one last question. Is there a way to copy paste the stop loss without having to type it in manually?
