I have been trading news releases lately because they are good for making a few extra pips.
I use my broker’s forex economic calendar but the main problem is that it is slow.
Slow as in it takes about 1-2 mins for the actual release figures to come.
Also tried babypips’ calendar and a few other sites like forexfactory etc but its the same everywhere.
The price makes its move and still the figures are not released.
This makes me assume that other people have some faster sources of news than the ones we have.
I mean, as soon as the new candle is formed the price moves 30-40 pips in a couple of seconds!
It should take at least a minute for the figures to be released and THEN should come the reaction.
Is it possible they have inside information? I know insider trading is illegal in stocks but is it allowed in forex?
Are there any govt. websites where figures are released first and our calendars just take their figures from there?
