Now I know in the stock market, learning Equity Research is a great way to get a job in the industry. But do we have something similar in the forex world like equity research? Something that will help get a job as a trader in one of the big hedge funds or banks?

I guess I am asking what is the best path into a hedge fund or bank to be a trader for them in the currency market? I already am a constantly profitable trader, but would like to get a job at somewhere like Goldman Sachs or Blackstone Group or something like that.

A first-class honours degree in math, and either an MS, MMath or PhD, or some equivalent(s), are a good starting-point … but possibly asking in “Forextown” rather than “Newbie Island” might also be helpful?
